OUR STORY

 

As a young and newly married man in the early 1970's, Rick Stark set off to do what any honest, hardworking man starting a family would do, he got a job.  Rick began roofing for his uncle's union roofing company Altemeyer Roofing in Kirkwood, MO at the age of 20.  He labored day in and day out all the while learning how to provide high quality roofing systems.  When his uncle was ready to retire, Rick took over the company with a partner.  It was then that he learned to manage a business, and began building strong relationships with his suppliers and customers. 

 

Eventually, Altemeyer Roofing was dissolved which led to Rick establishing Stark Roofing, LLC in 2002.  Stark Roofing started as a small, hometown residential roofing company.  Its basis relied on providing quality work at an honest and fair price.  Throughout the years, Rick established an impeccable reputation for the company, and the majority of its business was based on word of mouth referrals.  Rick's three sons started working for the company as teenagers as well, making it a true family operation.  Starting in 2015, it became a priority of the company to expand its services to include siding and guttering.

Ryan and Rob Stark are the two youngest sons in the Stark Family.  They grew up installing roofing systems, and in 2017 became co-owners of Stark Roofing, LLC and partners with their father Rick.  They have become leaders themselves in the industry with a focus on diving into new markets to make services more accessible and convenient for customers, including for commercial projects.  Stephanie Stark, the eldest of the Stark children, also joined the company in 2019 as the office manager.  This is truly a family owned and operated company!

 

Stark Roofing, LLC has seen tremendous growth over the last several years, but the priority to provide quality work with honesty and integrity has always remained the same.  We have acquired an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau, are fully bonded and insured in the states of Missouri and Illinois, and proudly serve St. Louis and its surrounding counties, including Illinois' Metro East Region.
